Born and raised in Toronto, Lisa moved to Vancouver in 2004 with her husband. After a successful 13 year career as a Graphic/Web Designer she decided to pursue her dream of helping animals. After graduating from Granville Business College in the Veterinary Assistant course, Lisa gained experience working at a veterinary specialty hospital in internal medicine, as a hospital manager and VA in three other hospitals before joining YPH. Lisa has had a variety of pets and experience working with marine animals, reptiles, pocket pets, birds, dogs, cats and aquatic pets. In her spare time she volunteers in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of marine wildlife. She currently is the proud mommy to a sweet Devon Rex cat named ZeeZee (her fur baby) and some aquatic friends. Lisa is passionate about helping and providing the best possible care for all animals. When she is not working Lisa enjoys activities in Vancouver’s beautiful outdoors or in her garden. If she is not outdoors, she is either crafting, drawing, knitting and sewing, or curling up on the couch watching her favourite tv shows or movies with her fur baby and husband. What Lisa loves the most about working at YPH is the amazing staff and the immense compassion and care everyone shows to our extended fur family and their parents.
