Garrison

Garrison was born and raised in small-town Saskatchewan (population 300) in a farming community. He moved to Saskatoon as soon as he could high tail out of there and after working as a hotel clerk, EMT, and Purolator courier took a tourism course. Garrison visited Vancouver for vacation and moved here shortly after in 1988. He worked in the travel industry for almost 30 years. He decided to semi-retire and camped around North America for 3 years. He felt that he needed to challenge his brain cells and took the VOA course at Granville College. He was offered a job at a specialty hospital after his 3-week practicum and worked in Wards, ICU and Internal Medicine. After another camping adventure, he joined the YPH team as a veterinary assistant, but still finds time to get away for camping adventures throughout the week!
